Heat and gaming

I've spent the last few months mostly preparing for the reslease of Burning Crusade from Blizzard.  It's an expansion for World of warcraft and so far has left me feeling great.  It's well done and playing a new paladin has been a blast.  I have hit level 57 (at least in a few minutes when I land and turn in this quest) and have found it to be quite enjoyable.  I've also spent some time reading about "Human caused Global warming" the big scare the media and some liberal alarmists have tried to push on the masses and found a great article about this hysteria here.  Enjoy the read and don't buy the hype just because every magazine and tv is broadcasting it as the doomsday of humankind.

The World needs to get some balls

Seems everyone is getting offended about something.  Stub your toe and some religious group gets mad.  Kill a murderer and the world flip flops around what it thinks.  Then there are the muslims, whom get upset at everything and always talk about Jihad.  Bout time for some ethnic cleansing I think.

Busy busy busy

My house is nearly ready to sell (honestly I think it would be okay to show now, I've shown houses that were in worse states of unclean and ours isn't bad, just unorganized in some regards).

So we are going to list it today with my friend Mark and see what happens.

Roller Derby. No Really Roller Derby.

Okay, so my wife bought an ad in a roller derby magazine for a local roller derby league, the Hard Knox Roller Derby girls.  So they have a bout tonight and she wanted me to go with her.  It was a freakin blast.  Can't wait till next month.

Bored in Cancun

My buddy Dave is bored in Cancun...wa wa wa wa.  How do you get bored in Cancun?  How the hell do you pull that off?  Dave, you could go to the pool, sit at the freakin pool bar, have drinks and stare at hot young single and nonsingle women (After all, looking isn't against the rules yet!  Or you could go to a lan cafe and play WoW.  Anyways, I am sure you will find something to do with yourself Dave...at Cancun...other than pity your misfortune...

I'm only posting this because today I got a ticket for having no proof of insurance.  Of course I have insurance and the officer told me when I print it and show it to the lady at the police department traffic offenses, they will expunge the ticket or some such, but I feel guilty for the speeding part (which he let me go for, go figure).

Dangers of taking suppliments or alternative medicines without a Doctor's Supervision

I hear a lot of people taking the latest miracle drug for their latest problems.  I usually sceptically ask them how it helps only to be deluged in misinformation about how this one guys took it and lost 200 pounds, got rid of cancer, learned to fly and is now making millions of dollars.  Here is a blog article about a cure for cancer.  Unfortunately the way this guys killed the cancer was to kill the patient.  SCAM is a great place to watch for your latest fads in dieting, cancer curing or whatever to pop up as bad for someone else.  Maybe you should talk to a doctor about your ails.  And for weight control, there is a mantra that most physicians, dietitians and personal trainers chant, "Well balanced diet and Exercise."

Ever notice that every commercial for the latest fat burning pills/oils/drinks always say "For best results use with a Well Balanced Meal and Regular Exercise?"

There is no miracle pill, drink or oil.

Amazing song by Sarah McLachlan.  I don't usually subscribe to romance songs like this, but when I mow I listen to my wife's Ipod Shuffle.  Well, that means I hear a lot of her songs and an occasional song that she has put on it.  This song just scares the crap out of me and makes me feel nostalgic for my more romantic days.
